what are the ansi or asme flange starndards for valve and pipe over the size of 24 inches? are all gate valves flanges ansi 16.5 ? i come to know that for large NPS ,say, 24 inches over the flange is ansi 16.5 and for pipe it is ansi 16.47. why? why this to numbers are different in large sizes for valve flange and pipe flange?

flanges over 24″ are from ANSI 16.47
