Open Question: How can I enhance my career in fashion and textile merchandising?

I am a Arts graduate and also hold a diploma in Fashion designing. Have worked as a merchandiser and graduated till sr. merchandiser position in 12 years,I have started working with export houses and worked with couple of buying agents too and still with one of them since last 4 years now. I am now 30 years old, the problem is that I could not go to the next level, reasons for these are virtual, I can not bitch, condemn, flatter and kill somebody to win over. Have travelled to UK for business trip too. Please suggest how can I progress further also I have a dream not fantasy to work abroad!
