The pay structure of PSU banks has been finalised recently.As a banker,I am very ashamed to say
that the pay stucture is way behind the central government pay structure.I simply cannot understand why this should happen? Do the bankers have less work ?Are they less responsible?Actually work pressure in PSU banks is increasing by leaps and bounds.We give NREGS payments,we give old age pension.Most of the bankers can not go to their home before 7 pm for so much work pressure.Then why should we get less than central governments and other PSUs?It is not that PSU banks are loss making entities.They give their part of profit to the government every year.It is a profitable sector .We also do social work by financial inclusion of people in villages and panchayats.
First and formost ,we are profitable.Secondly ,we do our part of social duty.Still ,we get less pay. Why we would bear it?
I am giving an example of the difference of pay here.
A bank employee having a basic of 17500 gets the pay as below after 9 th bipartite
Basic DA(36.75%) HRA(6.5%) Total
17500 6431.25 1137.5 25068.75

A central government employee of the same basic of 17500 gets as follows
Basic Grade Pay DA (35%) HRA(15%) Total
17500 5400 8015 3435 34350
so the difference is (34350-25068.75)=9281.25 Rs
I cant simply chalk out why this difference should persist. It is a awesome difference.
I can only suggest that the leaders who are making negotiation in bipartite are only responsible for this.We are being deceived ,defrauded by them.They are sharing their booty with management.we are becoming the suffurer.
My only suggestion is ,kick these leaders on their butt and shovel out these swines from negotioation table.Otherwise we will always be sufferer if we listen to them and deceive ourselves.
