Dear Sir , on my question on same matter I was advised to contact local office of PF. I reside at Vadodara but my employee belongs to Gurgaon .I feel my account should be at Haryana Reigonal PF office .Can i know about my PF account at Vadodara .I dont have any details other then my employers name and address.I have written to my employer but he is not responding

Hii All,
I have taken a education loan in 2002 at 10.75% interest. I didnt pay any EMI or interest till now(March 2010). I am planning to close my loan account. The amount has become more than double.
I enquired with the manager and he said that he can give a interest certificate only for this year. Meaning, the interest in this year whatever is there, that would be my complete interest and the rest amount has become principal amount. I was really shocked.
Is this true? or manager is wrong?
Example: Assume i have taken a loan of 1 lakh. Now the complete due to bank in 2010 is 2.5 lakh. I have asked for the Interest certificate, The certificate will have 25k (This years interest) as interest amount and the rest 2.25 lakh as a EMI principal amount.
So i can use only 25k as my tax exemption? or the total interest amount of 1.5 lakh?
